PH - Great Gate

The Pirates Hideout (PH) is based within an abandoned mine. Since the mine ran dry, the miners eventually left leaving their community behind. Fortunately, all the structures left behind by the miners stood the test of time fairly well and could still be used when a certain pirate crew started living there.

The Great Gate was meant to keep dangerous beasts out of the miners community. Now it is used to keep people from entering beyond the door. Due to its old function, the way to close and open the doors are situated around the community since the pirates couldn't reverse engineer it.

The Great Gate gives access to the Shimmering Chasm, a giant cleft in the earth dividing the mine into two. Since the miners didn't have the proper tools to excavate the walls of the chasm, it is still rich in ore and minerals. Nowadays the chasm connects the old community to the new pirate community.

This is the model without any posteffects or shaders applied to it. Only a basic skylight was used to give it some quick lighting
